3-mile flat loop begins @ Coolidge Park carousel to M.L. King Blvd. via the Market Street Bridge & return – singles, families or any combination are welcome!
The walk only takes about one hour, but the experience will stay with you long afterwards. You’ll be glad you got yourself out of bed on Thanksgiving morning to show your financial and spiritual support for people who don’t have a home and need our help.
Historically, approximately 8,000 people of all ages have walked the walk, raising in excess of $180,000 in participant donations, 100% of which are distributed among participating agencies.
Money raised through the Grateful Gobbler Walk will help the homeless through services provided by the following agencies:
- Episcopal Metropolitan Ministries
- St. Catherine’s Shelter @ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
- St. Matthew’s Shelter @ Second Presbyterian Church
- Chattanooga Community Kitchen
