Healing, Care & Concern

Tuesday Healing Service

Our Tuesday morning healing service is an intimate gathering in the Chapel. Healing prayers with the laying on of hands follow the Holy Eucharist. The service begins at 10:30AM.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs)

If you are not able to attend services at the church, but you would like to receive a worship visit you can still share bread and wine from our Sunday Holy Eucharist. Our Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) are trained and ready to visit parishioners and friends to offer Holy Eucharist or Morning Prayer on Sunday mornings. This program is for those who are homebound, in hospitals, or in group living centers. To schedule a visit, please submit the form below.

Cancer Support Group

Our Cancer Support Group meets every other Thursday at 10:00AM in the Library. Formed by members of Good Shepherd who had been diagnosed with cancer, it's an informal group with pastoral support. The group members share spiritual journeys and support those who have had cancer, those who have cancer, and those who support a person with cancer. Open to the wider Lookout Mountain community, too. For more information about this group, please contact the church office.

Prayer List

At each worship service we read aloud those known to the parish who need our prayers. To request that a name be placed on the Sunday list of those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit, please submit the form below.

Intercessory Prayer Groups

Two groups of parishioners meet each Tuesday at 10am and Wednesday at 9:30am to offer prayers for the thanksgivings, concerns and needs of our parish, community and our world.
